Major multi-family development under Urban Mixed-Use District adopted in 2012

RICHMOND, VA (June 2021) – Virginia Beach-based Robinson Development Group (RDG) recently broke ground on the latest multi-family development in the famed Innsbrook Office Park.
Metropolis will be developed in two phases and total 700 apartments according to Hal Yuill, vice president at RDG.
The property will consist of a variety of studio, one, two and three bedroom layouts with efficient floor plans that will appeal to the core demographic. The development will be best in class and highly amentized with two courtyards, resort style pool and fitness center, roof-top social area and convenient structured parking with direct floor access for residents. There will also be six street-level live/work units.
The apartments will be on a portion of the 14.5 acre acquired by Robinson Development Group in 2019. The site is on Dominion Boulevard in the heart of the Innsbrook Office Park with immediate access to West Broad Street and Interstate 64.
“Today’s young professionals demand close proximity to work and play. The site sits in the heart of the Innsbrook Office Park that employs over 30,000 people,” Yuill explained. “West Broad Village and the Short Pump Mall are both within two miles of Metropolis.”
Apartment unit amenities will include nine-foot ceilings throughout, oversized windows, access systems, sleek Energy Star® stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and modern recessed LED lighting.
Upon completion of the second phase, the 700 apartments will be contained in four and five story buildings surrounded by structured parking and 13,000 sq. ft. of amenity and commercial space.
