Professional Experience

Tom Robinson formed Robinson Development Group in 1983 to specialize in build-to-suit projects and corporate headquarter development. Since that time, he has developed and or purchased over 10 million square feet of commercial and residential development in the Mid-Atlantic. He currently serves as the President and Director for Robinson Development Group.

Prior Experience

After serving as a captain in the United States Marine Corps, Tom started his career as a project manager for the real estate department of the Prudential Life Insurance Company. Tom was Director of Development for two regional development companies: Goodman Segar Hogan and Armada Hoffler. He has developed every type of commercial development including corporate headquarters, regional malls, urban and suburban office building, multi-family, condos, and all types of warehouse and distribution facilities. He has developed many projects for federal and state governments, including a 320,000 square foot research facility for undersea warfare. His projects have won numerous design awards, and many of his projects today are with repeat customers.

Other Activities

Tom is very active in both his industry and the community. He has served on the National Board of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), as well as local bank, school, and foundation boards.
